چکیده

To compare the diagnostic performance of shear wave and strain elastography in distinguishing benign malignant breast lesions. A prospective study carried out from 20th March 2020 to 2021 at department Radiology Sahiwal, Multan, Lahore. The included women who were lined for surgical excision or core needle biopsy examined using B-mode ultrasound elastography. total 30 female patients with 40 lesions study. Lesions categorized on as 3 BI-RADS 3, 18 4A, 5 4B, 7 4C, 5. After performing a Ultrasound examination, US was done. 14-MHz transducer used obtain high-resolution images. For comparing both, an area under ROI curve (AUC) data sets compared. McNemar test comparison sensitivity specificity both sets. Mean age participants 48.4 years (21-80years). 24 while 16 malignant. B mode imaging showed diameter lesion ranged 0.5 5.2 cm. There no significant difference between elastographic 6 masses discrepant results. category 4a BI-RADs selectively downgraded bases cutoff values, AUCs improvement. Diagnostic is same. Combining has better than each individually.

A novel two-dimensional quantitative shear wave elastography for differentiating malignant from benign breast lesions.

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of a novel quantitative shear wave elastography (SWE) of virtual touch tissue imaging quantification (VTIQ) in diagnosis of breast lesions. METHODS The conventional ultrasound (US) and VTIQ images of 133 pathologically proven breast lesions in 98 patients were assessed. The breast lesions were classified by US brea...

Performance of Shear Wave Elastography for Differentiation of Benign and Malignant Solid Breast Masses

OBJECTIVES To perform a meta-analysis assessing the ability of shear wave elastography (SWE) to identify malignant breast masses. METHODS PubMed, the Cochrane Library, and the ISI Web of Knowledge were searched for studies evaluating the accuracy of SWE for identifying malignant breast masses. The diagnostic accuracy of SWE was evaluated according to sensitivity, specificity, and hierarchical...

Evaluation of the diagnostic function of shear wave elastography in the differentiation of malignant and benign breast masses and its relationship with histological factors

Background: Shear wave elastography (SWE) estimates the stiffness of a mass based on the velocity of shear wave propagation by sound waves. Due to higher cell density and angiogenesis, malignant masses have higher stiffness than benign ones. Methods: The present study was a prospective study and was performed on patients who were referred to Ahvaz Golestan Hospital with breast mass during Marc...

Diagnostic value of strain elastography for differentiating benign and malignant soft tissue masses

The aim of the current study was to investigate the importance of strain elastography (SE) in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant soft tissue masses. SE was adopted to examine 61 patients with superficial masses, classify their elastic scores and assess their strain ratios (SRs) between the masses and the surrounding structures. Significantly increased SR values and elastic score...
